Dr Vu is a General Practice Registrar currently undertaking GPT2 training, with experience providing comprehensive, patient-centred care across a broad demographic including paediatric, adult and geriatric populations. Since commencing general practice training, he has developed confidence in managing both acute presentations and chronic disease while building strong therapeutic relationships with patients.
His clinical foundation was established through rotations at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Osborne Park Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital, Joondalup Health Campus and Albany Health Campus. These positions provided extensive exposure to the assessment and management of diverse medical conditions across emergency, inpatient and outpatient settings, strengthening his clinical reasoning, procedural skills and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
In addition to hospital training, his experience in community-based medicine has reinforced his passion for longitudinal patient care. Working in General Practice in Albany and with Silver Chain Community Palliative Care has given him valuable insight into the complexity, continuity and privilege of caring for patients within their own communities. These experiences have strengthened his communication skills, appreciation of holistic care and ability to work collaboratively with allied health professionals and specialists.
Dr Vu is committed to ongoing professional development and enjoy the breadth and diversity that general practice offers.
